Why are you pursuing writing now?

The corporate world just isn’t doing it for me anymore.

How do you come up with ideas for books?
I exist and my mind wanders. Usually the best ideas come when you are unable to write anything down. In the car or shower are my mind’s personal favorites
Do you get writer’s block?
The writing part comes easier to me, but I get editing blocks FREQUENTLY. Editing is so much work and takes some of the creativeness that I love away. I find it best to have at least one creative project working in tandem with a project in the editing phase.

Why are you self-publishing?

I did query for agents briefly and found it to be too much work to juggle writing, editing, working full time, being a parent, and maintaining my hobbies. Self-publishing opens the door for more creative and scheduling control which is appealing to me at this phase in my life.
